Housing Options/Local Highlights

Directions:

To Marietta From North or South:  Take I77 to Exit 1 in Ohio.  Head west on Route 7, unless you are going to the Comfort Inn.

From East or West:  Take Ohio 7 to Marietta.  Route 50 runs into Ohio 7 at Belpre, Ohio to the west of Marietta.

You can also approach from the North on US 60 which runs from Zanesville (on I 70) to Marietta.  It takes almost exactly as long to get to Marietta, and is a nice drive along the Muskingum.  US 60 becomes 3rd Street in Marietta.

To get to the Hermann Fine Arts Parking Lot:

Take Ohio 7 through town.  Turn "north" (away from river) on 4th street.  The parking lot is on your right as you approach an intersection with a flashing yellow light.

Or:

Take US 60 South through town and turn left at Butler Street.  Go one block to flashing red light.  Proceed through intersection, the entrance to the lot is about 1/2 block down on the right.

Note:  Parking is not enforced when classes are out of session.  Look for a group in the parking lot; insect nets and/or pink flagging on radio aerials is a good sign you've found the right group.  Camouflage and automatic weapons are a sign you've found a local militia group.

To get to the Bartlett/Selby/Rickey complex:  Park in the Hermann lot (see above).  Proceed up 4th street away from the river ("north").  The building runs along the right side of the road.  Enter at the main entrance in the middle of the building.  We will either meet in room 162 (turn left and it is the second door to the left down the hall, just past the elevator) or in the anatomy lab (Room 208) on the second floor (go straight through the building and take either the stairs or the elevator on the far side of the building past the pendulum.  On the second floor, head back towards the pendulum and the anatomy lab is on the left just past the pendulum.  We will try to have signs posted.
